Did you ever hear the day break? No, you never heard the day break, yet it's
scatters all the darkness. If we would only listen to the voice of Him that speaks
behind these things...We've had rushing winds, and thunder, and everything
else. But the hour is coming now that the voice of God speaks. And He proves
that's Him. It was Him that sent the thunder. And they went after the thunder
instead of listening for the voice. He sent the wind, but they went after the wind
instead of the voice. Bro. William Branham
If Jesus came to your house

If Jesus came to your house
To spend some time with you,
If He came unexpected,
I wonder what you'd do.

Oh, I know you'd give your nicest
room
To such an honored guest
And all the food you'd give to Him
Would be the very best.

And you would keep assuring Him
You're glad to have Him there--
That serving Him in your home
Is joy beyond compare.

But when you saw Him coming,
Would you meet Him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome
To your heavenly visitor?

Or would you have to change your
clothes
Before you let Him in
Or hide some magazines
And put the Bible where they'd been

Would you hide your worldly music
and put some hymn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right
in, or would you rush about?

And I wonder - if the Saviour
spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing, the
things you always do?

Would you go right on saying, the
things you always say?
Or would life for you continue
as it does from day to day?

Would you take Jesus with you
everywhere you go?
Or would you maybe change your
plans for just a day or so?

Would you be glad to have Him
meet your closest friends?
Or would you hope they stay away,
until His visit ends?

Would you be glad to have Him
stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great
relief when He at last was gone?

It might be interesting to know,
the things that you would do,
If Jesus came in person, to spend
some time with you.
“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be
on God's side, for God is always right”
Abraham Lincoln
Night and day I pondered until I saw the connection between the justice of God
and the statement that 'the just shall live by his faith.' Then I grasped that the
justice of God is that righteousness by which through grace and sheer mercy
God justifies us through faith. Thereupon I felt myself to be reborn and to have
gone through open doors into paradise.           ~~

Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I founded empires; but upon what
did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ alone
founded his empire upon love; and at this hour millions of men would
die for him.      ~~Napoleon Bonaparte
God created the world out of nothing, and so long as we are nothing, He can
make something out of us.     ~~Martin Luther
It is a sure sign that we are out of communion with God if we are talking more of
the joy and peace and power we had in the past, than of what we have today.
We are told to "grow in grace"; but a great many are growing the wrong way. The
Israelites used to gather the manna fresh every day: they were not allowed to
store it up. There is a lesson here for us. If we would be strong and vigorous, we
must go to God daily. A man can no more take in a supply of grace for the future
than he can eat enough today to last him for the next six months, or take
sufficient air into his lungs at once to sustain life for a week to come. We must
draw upon God's boundless stores of grace from day to day as we need it.

Dwight Moody
We hear nowadays so much about "culture." Culture's alright when you have
something to cultivate. If I should plant a watch, I shouldn't get any little watches
would I? Why? Because the seed of life is not there. But let me plant some peas
or potatoes, and I will get a crop. Don't let any man or woman rest short of being
born of the Spirit of God. Don't cultivate a dead and corrupt thing, first make
sure that you have that divine nature, then cultivate it.

And the last name goes on that Book, or, the last name that's redeemed, that
was put on that Book, that settles it, He comes to claim what He redeemed. And it
might be a strange time. Did you ever think: people will go right on preaching,
the church will go right on even thinking they're getting people saved. It's too late
then, it's all over, see, and the Message will go to the totally lost; just like it did in
the days of Noah, seven days in the ark. It did in the days of Sodom. Jesus
Himself, His third stage of His ministry, He went and preached to souls that were
Eternally lost, that were in prison, that repented not, the long-suffering in the
days of Noah. And we don't know what time these things might happen.
And let's be warned. Don't just stand around, let's do something about it. If we're
not right with God, let's get right with God.

Moses had the Word. Now
remember, after the Word was
made manifest, Moses was Moses
again. See? But while that Word
was in him to be give out, he was
God; well, he wasn't Moses no
more. He had the Word of the Lord
for that age. Nothing could touch
him till that was over; had that
Word with him. So, therefore, when
he come, the people turned their
heads; they couldn't understand.
They had been changed. He was a
different fellow. He come with that
Word. "And he put a veil," the Bible
said, "over his face," for he had the
Word. And he was the Word to
them.

The best portion of a good man's
life is his little nameless,
 unencumbered acts of kindness
and of love.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
We are all called upon to do small
things with great love.

So much has been given to me, I have not time to ponder over

I expect to pass through life but once.
If therefore, there be any kindness I can show,

Or any good thing I can do to any fellow being,
Let me do it now, as I shall not pass this way again.
